Growing up a competitive figure skater in Minnesota, Lori didn’t think very much of the dance classes she was taking until she was introduced to modern dance in eighth grade. Since that time Lori has made dance part if her life.

Lori was a member of the dance program at Utah State University, where she was a member of Danceworks dance and touring company. She was the recipient of the Eccles Scholarship, a soloist for the company, and taught technique classes for the program. Lori then moved up to Moscow, Idaho where she finished her BS in Dance Pedagogy at University of Idaho, was the recipient of the Bookstore Scholarship for Dance, and awarded Senior of the Year.

She was a member of the Dance Theater Company and The Dancers Drummers and Dreamers Ensemble where she was a soloist in Doris Humphrey’s Passacaglia and Fugue. She has studied with Bill Evans, Henning Rübsam, Lorraine Person-Kreigal, Joan Woodbury, Ailey School in New York, Kim Strunk, Todd Allen, and many other inspiring dance professionals.

Lori's real passion lies in teaching and choreography. She has taught all ages at studios, workshops, and universities for over 15 years. She has also choreographed numerous works for professional companies, high schools, and dance studios.

Twice Lori's works were chosen to represent her university at the American College Dance Festival and were awarded with invitation to the Gala performance. She loves the outdoors, traveling with her family, Zumba, and yoga. Lori currently resides in Alpine with her husband and four children.
