Ellie Smith has been dancing since the age 3.  She had been competing and traveling for dance since she was young.  Ellie has been professionally trained in Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theatre and Latin Ballroom.  She was given the opportunity to dance in Hong Kong in the Chinese New Year Parade as a guest of the city with her team. She was a finalist on Paula Abdul’s TV series, “Live To Dance”.  Ellie has been awarded with many different scholarships and national titles including, NYCDA junior winner, Adrenaline “crew” (team) member, NYCDA “outstanding dancer”,  and in Latin Ballroom, winning 1st place at nationals held at BYU.  She has been a part of many different professional companies including; “MOVE Show (Rick Robinson – Ballroom/Jazz/Hip Hop), Expansion (Bonnie Story), Divinity (Krissie Edwards), Juanito Bandito Musical (TJ and Erin Davis), and Petalbump (Graham Russell of the band Air Supply).  She has been all over the US performing and competing in ballroom and contemporary/jazz.  In the Chicago Auditions for “So You Think You Can Dance”  Ellie made the top 20 and was awarded a ticket to Los Angeles. In the Los Angeles finals, she made it through rounds to make it to top 30.  Ellie first started teaching/choreographing as a sophomore in high school when her dance company teacher had her choreograph dances for the team.  She then starting giving private instruction to students and creating choreography for solos and group numbers.
